One of the best things about using essential oils is the versatility of their applications. You could use lavender to calm down after a stressful day. Or you could apply it topically to relieve pain. You could inhale some peppermint to enhance your energy. Or rub it on your chest to reduce congestion.
But beyond these more simplified uses, there are countless ways to mix and match these products to craft your own DIY essential oil bomb recipes.
Below, you’ll find 10 homemade blends we recommend for a range of health benefits.
What is an “Essential Oil Roller Bomb” Recipe?
In short, an “essential oil bomb” is a recipe that can take several forms. Some people refer to a “bomb” as something you take internally. You’ll also find bath “bombs” and roller ball “bombs.” In other words, it can be a generic term.
For this article, we’ll keep it simple. The following recipes can be combined in a simple 10ML roller bottle. After including the essential oils in the recipe, simply top the recipe off with a carrier oil, like grapeseed, jojoba, or coconut.
So without further ado, here are our top 10 favorite essential oil roller bombs.

Hi Terri Parrish,
I have only made four. These are the four that worked for me:
1. Headache bomb – rub on both temples and the nape (back of the neck).
2. Morphine (pain) bomb – rub anywhere the pain is (i.e. lower back, hip, knee, etc).
3. Sleep bomb – rub both temples and back of neck.
4. Cold and flu bomb – Rub on your chest.
5. Muscle bomb – rub anywhere you have sore or overworked muscles.
I hope this helps. ?
for mosquitoes
I am new to the whole essential oil remedies verses traditional medicines and have a couple of questions.
Does all bomb’s need a carrier oil or is that just for specific ones?
Can a misting bottle be used as well?
Thank you for your time.
